About The Site

Europa Recondita is not primarily a blog devoted to travel, historical narrative, or beer connoisseurship. Rather, it is a collection of essays on various topics of European history and culture. The focus is on Western Europe up until c. 1914, though this rule exists to be broken.

Unless otherwise stated, all texts, translations, photos and illustrations are my own creations, and my own intellectual property.

And yes, I am aware that “history, culture and beer” is a tautology. Perhaps even a threetology.
